Vera Mumford is living-proof a glass of scotch a day won’t hurt you. A new resident at Helen Henderson Care Centre - Vera, 106 years old on May 29 – still enjoys a glass a scotch every evening. “I’m 105, I’ll be 106 this month,” she confirmed. “I was the youngest in my family and lived the longest.” Born on May 29, 1909 on her grandparents’ farm located between Kingston and Gananoque, Vera is the youngest of four children.
