No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another.

Working in the main office of Helen Henderson Care Centre is Rhonda Carroll-MacDonald, a helpful someone who constantly lightens the burden of others.

“I try to be a positive, helpful and energetic person around the home and in the community,” says Rhonda when asked to describe herself.

Working in the home’s main office, Rhonda is the person most people meet when they first enter the long-term care home.

When she’s not answering the phone, conducting tours or helping staff with administrative tasks, she manages human resources and payroll.

“I like the constant changes each day,” says Rhonda about the job she has performed for the past nine years. “You never have a long day or a boring day. I have certain things that need to get done on a timeline, but the nature of the position changes daily and sometimes even hourly.”

“Rhonda has been a key member of our team since the day she started,” explains Angela Gibson, Assistant Administrator. “She is very passionate about her job and is always available to residents, families and staff. The office is a very busy place and somehow Rhonda manages to juggle everything with a smile.”

Grateful for Rhonda’s good work, the home is using Administrative Professionals Day in April to show its appreciation.

It is an act of consideration Rhonda sees often in the home.

“Staff’s kindness to residents is exceptional here,” she replies when asked about the home and the company. “I see acts of kindness every day through my office door. I also appreciate how the company lets you do your job with autonomy.”

A hard worker who cares deeply for the health and happiness of others, Rhonda finds professional happiness when she accomplishes goals and finishes projects.

“I also appreciate hearing positive feedback on my position as Office Manager,” she explains.

Helen Henderson Care Centre is grateful for the hard work of Rhonda Carroll-MacDonald. Happy Administrative Professionals Day Rhonda!
