Boosting entrepreneurial talent is critical for our country’s future. To help Canada develop its talent, successful CEOs and business leaders from across the country will be taking an intensive program this month at the Ivey Business School in London, Ontario. These entrepreneurs are on the way to taking their companies to the next level.

Gibson Family Health Care is pleased to announce today that Brett Gibson, Owner and Administrator of Carveth Care Centre, has been selected as a participant in QuantumShift, a unique leadership development program founded by Ivey Business School and KPMG Enterprise, and sponsored by TD Commercial Bank and The Globe and Mail.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to learn from the top entrepreneurs in the country,” says Gibson who helps lead his family business and the Queen’s University Men’s Hockey Team. “I am extremely honored and grateful to be selected to this prestigious program. Be it in business or sport, continuous education is something you should always strive for because it empowers you and makes you think outside the box. I’m looking forward to this new challenge and exciting opportunity to bring back new ideas that benefit Canadians.”

Helping private businesses grow and improve their productivity is essential to building a more competitive Canada. Ivey Business School, KPMG Enterprise, TD Commercial Bank, and The Globe and Mail realize this and for the 16th year they are inviting a select group of entrepreneurs to participate in QuantumShift, a rigorous weeklong program to give them the tools to push their businesses forward as Canada’s economy continues to recover.

QuantumShift is designed to help Canadian business owners accelerate their companies. It’s for entrepreneurs who are past the start-up stage and who are ready to innovate. The program focuses on how to lead an enterprise through exponential growth; how to attract and retain the best employees; how to uncover obstacles that may be limiting growth; how to value a venture and use strategies for moving from business plan to financial proposition; and how to build a strong network of entrepreneurial peers to share best-practices.

More than 600 successful entrepreneurs have attended QuantumShift to date, including Greg Sutton, President & CEO of Sutton Special Risk. Sutton was seeking ways to accelerate the growth of his specialty insurance company while increasing the company’s reach worldwide.

“QuantumShift provided me with a forum to test my beliefs and examine our approach to global business development. The program, and collaboration with peers, helped me to expand the thinking of my company’s business units to look beyond their immediate territories, and develop innovative strategies which facilitated significant growth opportunities,” said Sutton.
